Interior Design & Our Senses

By nature vegan interior options have less toxins.  When it comes to our senses, it is key that we know exactly what we are breathing in, and surrounding ourselves with inside of our homes.

Why is it that our food and where it comes from, and how it is made is such a topic of conversation, but the materials we surround our body with are not even discussed?

For someone with sensory issues materials such as wool and down may provide discomfort.  Not only are they rough on the skin, but they are produced in an inhumane way.  Animals are not meant for profit, which is why using their bodies and counterparts for materials can never be done in a humane way.

They have feelings, sensitivities, hunger and pain that are neglected during these manufacturing processes.

If you are hypersensitive, you want to stay away from processed products such as leather that produce off gassing.  Our skin is a sponge, and once it comes into contact with these chemicals it can be challenging to our senses.
