Design // Build
Design-build is a project delivery method in which the design and construction aspects of a project are both managed by a single entity, known as the design-builder. The design-builder is responsible for both designing the project and constructing it, which eliminates the need for a separate contractor and architect.
In a design-build approach, the owner or client contracts with a design-builder to handle both the design and construction of the project. The design-builder may work with an architect and engineering team to develop the project design, and then oversee the construction process, often hiring subcontractors to complete specific portions of the work.
Design-build projects are typically executed under a single contract, with the design-builder responsible for delivering the completed project on time and within budget. This approach can streamline the construction process and reduce costs by eliminating the need for multiple contracts and separate project managers. Additionally, because the design-builder is responsible for both the design and construction of the project, there is greater accountability and fewer communication issues between different project team members.
Design-build is often used for commercial, industrial, and large-scale residential projects, but can also be used for smaller projects as well. The success of a design-build project depends on the ability of the design-builder to effectively manage the project and ensure that the owner's requirements are met.

Principal, Interior Designer
For over fifteen years, Stephanie Vegas has successfully managed full service interior design projects throughout the Interior Design Industry. She obtained her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design at the Art Institute of Philadelphia, and is the principal owner of her referral based interior design business, VEGAS Design / Build by Stephanie Vegas.
Stephanie spent her time working for high end design firms throughout Philadelphia, and a few years developing her design experience throughout Miami, Florida. Designing the life you love, has always been her philosophy for each project from start to finish. The life you love should consist of a space in which you can actually live in. Stephanie’s blog, “#Greenprint,” is a direct reflection on her beliefs that each space should be “usable,” and can be done without harm to animals.
Usable design is a design aesthetic based on the effectiveness, and efficiency of products and overall design of a space to be to achieve your common goals. Whether your goal is to create a space that is, “Kid-Friendly,” “Pet-Friendly,” or you want to live in “Healthy & Humane Interior,” through Vegan Interior Design, VEGAS Design / Build by Stephanie Vegas will help you to achieve your goal.
Stephanie prides herself on being a “Cruelty-Free Designer.” In 2019 she completed her Cruetly-Free Design Certification which has allowed her to bring out the best in herself, and share this passion with her clients.
This broad concept means that any element that we use in interior design must not damage or torture animals, nor contain any harmful components. Vegan design affects the materials that we use and goes even further to promote ways of living in harmony with other living things, without damaging the environment. This is what is known as “cruelty-free”.
Design philosophies are personal to each client, which is why Stephanie will always leave it up to you to decide how you want to proceed with your project. You can leave it up to use to provide all of the tools for you to get there.
Our team consists of a broad range of knowledgeable tradesmen, from expert wallpaper hangers, high end painters, and custom fabricators. A PORTFOLIO of completed work includes historic restorations, contemporary renovations and new construction projects. Our design process is interior design, tailored to you.
