Secrets revealed: Our Favorite, healthy Accessory!

For me fall is such a fun, beautiful time of year.  In preparation for winter, I tend to look around and spruce up things in my home, and my client’s spaces to find more ways to add some life to things before the pumpkins go away and we are stuck with little to no foliage outside in the cold winter months.

That is why the time is now to start adding our favorite accessory, the indoor plant to your sacred places!

We can all admit it, it’s been a hell of a year! When challenges approach moods are down, so it’s only natural that we want to find things that will lift our spirits, and bring us positivity. That is why we encourage you to take advantage of adding plants to your home.

“Indoor plants don’t just look good – they can make us feel good, too. Studies have shown indoor plants...

  • Boost your mood, productivity, concentration and creativity

  • Reduce your stress, fatigue, sore throats and colds

  • Help clean indoor air by absorbing toxins, increasing humidity & producing oxygen

  • Add life to a sterile space, give privacy and reduce noise levels

  • Are therapeutic to care for (it’s true when we say Plants Make People Happy) “

Bring yourself back to nature with some simple basic plants in your window sills, and maybe even fill some dull corners.  I do not have a green thumb by any means, but here are three easy plants that unlucky gardners like myself can keep alive.

  1. Succulents

  2. Aloe

  3. Fiddle Figs

If you know our firm, you know that we LOVE succulents.  Succulents are the easiest accessory to maintain,in our humble opinion!  We love to layer them on bookshelves, coffee tables, and even smaller areas like bathroom vanities, or even better, your nightstand.

Aloe is an easy one.  It has such a fun interesting shape and requires little to no maintenance.  If you forget to water your plants, then this plant was made for you.  Since it stores water in its leaves, all it really wants is sunlight. Keep it by a window and check in every so often, and this one will thrive!

Fiddle figs are an interior design must!  Designers love to pop them into corners to fit into any design aesthetic.  It is basically the plant that replaced the 90’s ivy trees. The wide leaves give great dimension, and a strong green color!  Perfect addition to a monochromatic space.
